Effaclar DUO + is a cream gel from La Roche-Posay containing glycerine, silicone, emollients, a prebiotic ferment to care for the microbiome and zinc. It also contains piroctone olamine, which has a particularly effective anti-bacterial action for acne-prone skin, and the 3 classic ingredients of the Effaclar range: niacinamide, salicylic acid and lipo hydroxy acid. Unfortunately, it contains perfume, but it's a gel-cream that I can recommend for acne-prone skin.

I've been using it for several years now and it's made my acne disappear almost completely. Mind you, your skin has to get used to the product for the first few weeks. I can't do without it now.

Even though I followed the dermatologist's advice, this gel had no effect on my imperfections or even my enlarged pores, so I can't give you any advice other than to try Uriage's Cica Barriederm cream gel, which seems a little more effective (I've only been using it for 2 weeks).

I use this cream morning and night on my oily areas with dilated pores. The shine has practically disappeared - the effects last about 8 hours. No more pustules, and pores appear permanently tightened. There's a version with sun protection - a little greasy to the touch, but effective nonetheless. The effect has been reinforced with Effaclar serum - I haven't had my blackheads removed in over a year - a record.

I used this cream on the advice of my dermatologist, but I didn't use it on its own (I also alternated with cutacnyl and Avène anti-imperfiction cream, plus antibiotics for acne for 4 months. I've had a lot of acne on my cheeks and chin since 2019 (it got worse when I wore the mask, in addition to being hormonal acne). After several months of use, my pimples are almost gone, and the redness has diminished. I used to cleanse my face with a goat's milk soap every evening and in the mornings with a scrubbing gel (3 in 1 also exfoliates).

This product is just wonderful, I only use it every evening on my whole face in small quantities with the exfoliant and serum from the same game, and since then, no pimples and almost no spots. 6 months of use and still.
