Fragrance-free revitalift cream

L'Oréal Paris revitalift soin liftant cream has a more than respectable composition for a supermarket cream. The term "soin liftant" is clearly an exaggeration, but this cream does contain ecoskin, which is listed under 4 ingredients Alpha-glucan oligosaccharide, a prebiotic, Polymnia sonchifolia root juice, an extract of yacon, an Andean vegetable; Maltodextrin, a sugar; and Lactobacillus, a deactivated bacterium. These four ingredients are found in La Roche Posay's new cicaplast baume B5, as well as in Gallinée's face cream and eye contour cream. These ingredients mainly rebalance the skin's microbiota and add radiance. We also find retinyl palmitate, which is a retinol ester. It therefore requires 3 transformations to become active on the skin. As a reminder, retinol requires 2 transformations and retinal only one. I don't know the concentration, but given its position in the list, I think it's mainly an antioxidant. Another interesting ingredient is ZEA MAYS STARCH / CORN STARCH, an absorbent ingredient that absorbs excess oil and, in hydrolyzed form, acts as a humectant. To sum up, this is a very good moisturizing cream, suitable for people with normal to combination skin.
