Lactic acid is an exfoliant and humectant. Like all AHAs, it breaks the bonds between cells to remove dead cells from your skin's surface. With 5% of lactic acid, this treatment gently exfoliates the most superficial part of your face.
How do I use The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA serum?
This product is very gentle on your skin and you can use it every day to exfoliate your skin. It contains no alcohol, which is an advantage for sensitive skin. You don't use it as a mask; you apply it to your face and it doesn't rinse off. You can apply it in the morning or evening after cleansing, but before your moisturizer.
Which products should Lactic Acid 5% + HA not be mixed with?
Knowing that the product has an acid PH, you should avoid using a cosmetic product with peptides such as Buffet or Buffet + Copper Peptides, as the acid PH can render the peptides ineffective.
The same applies to serums containing retinol or Granactive retinol: they should not be applied just after or just before an acidic PH exfoliant.
