1) Allergens :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allergens in cosmetics are substances foreign to the body that can provoke an excessive immune response, particularly in people with specific sensitivities. These allergens come mainly from fragrance compounds, such as essential oils and perfumes. Their allergenic potential depends on their ability to bind to skin proteins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Drying alcohols:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If these alcohols appear at the end of the ingredients list, there's generally nothing to worry about. However, if they appear among the first ingredients and you have dry or sensitive skin, it's advisable to avoid these products when you have sensitive skin<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These active ingredients are generally well known. They include retinoids, pure vitamin C and exfoliating acids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A.H.A., commonly used in peels, are renowned for their exfoliating properties. They help eliminate dead cells and stimulate cell renewal. Among them, glycolic acid (extracted from sugar cane), lactic acid (derived from the fermentation of milk and certain fruits) and mandelic acid (derived from almonds) are the best-known.
