It combines several complementary active ingredients: salicylic acid (BHA) with keratolytic action, which penetrates pores to dissolve excess sebum and accumulated dead cells; niacinamide (vitamin B3), which regulates sebum production and reduces the redness associated with imperfections; and gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) with gentle exfoliating and antioxidant action, better tolerated than conventional AHAs. The formula also incorporates CeraVe's patented MultiVesicular Emulsion complex, made up of three ceramides (NP, AP, EOP), cholesterol and phytosphingosine, which supports the restoration of the skin barrier - often weakened by anti-acne treatments. Hydrolyzed hyaluronate provides surface hydration without occlusion. The surfactants used (sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine) are gentle and compatible with daily use.
