Polyquaternium-51 (a biomimetic synthetic phospholipid) forms a protective film on the epidermal surface. Botanical extracts complete the action spectrum: *Centella asiatica* for its soothing and healing properties (madecassoside, asiaticoside), *Schisandra chinensis* for its antioxidant activity, and *Ficus carica* for its gentle exfoliating action.
