Pentylene glycol and diglycerin act as complementary humectants, while the succinate\/succinic acid buffer system stabilizes the formula's pH. The clear, fluid texture, thickened with hydroxyethylcellulose, facilitates application as a traditional Japanese lotion (toner). This product is particularly suitable for dehydrated, normal to combination skin, and is an effective first step in a skincare routine after cleansing, to prepare the skin for subsequent treatments.
