Dermalogica's Precleanse Oil Cleanser is a make-up-removing oil formulated on the principle of lipid dissolution: caprylic\/capric triglycerides (CAPRYLIC\/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE) and dicaprylyl carbonate form the carrier base, capable of solubilizing greasy residues, waterproof make-up and fat-soluble impurities without disturbing the skin's hydrolipidic film. PEG-40 sorbitan peroleate acts as an emulsifier, enabling the oil to rinse off easily with water. The formula integrates several plant oils with complementary properties: apricot kernel oil (PRUNUS ARMENIACA KERNEL OIL), rich in unsaturated fatty acids, and borage oil (BORAGO OFFICINALIS SEED OIL), a source of gamma-linolenic acid, support the barrier function and soothe reactive skin; rice bran oil (ORYZA SATIVA BRAN OIL) provides natural tocopherols; sunflower oil (HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL) completes the supply of essential fatty acids. The antioxidant complex - tocopherol, tocopheryl acetate and ascorbyl palmitate - protects lipids from oxidation and limits cutaneous oxidative stress. Citrus, lavandin and lemongrass essential oils provide an olfactory profile, but contain declared allergens (citral, limonene, linalool) to be monitored on sensitive skin.
