Lactic acid, a naturally-occurring AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid), works by dissolving the bonds between the corneocytes in the stratum corneum, promoting cell renewal, evening out skin tone and reducing textural irregularities. Its larger molecule than other AHAs means it penetrates more superficially, making it generally better tolerated. Cross-linked sodium hyaluronate (crosspolymer) forms a moisturizing film on the surface while gradually releasing moisture into the upper layers of the epidermis. Glycerine and pentylene glycol complete the humectant action. Tasmannia lanceolata extract provides antioxidant properties. This product is suitable for skins with irregular texture, light pigmentation spots or a dull complexion, but should be used with caution on sensitive or reactive skins.
