Mandelic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds, whose large molecule makes it slower and more gradual to penetrate the skin than other AHAs such as glycolic acid, making it generally better tolerated. It acts by dissolving the bonds between corneocytes, promoting cell renewal and reducing uneven skin tone, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and irregular textures. Propanediol and glycerine provide a moisturizing base, while Tasmannia lanceolata (Tasmanian pepper) extract provides antioxidant and soothing properties. Dimethyl isosorbide acts as a penetrating solvent, optimizing the bioavailability of active ingredients. This product is particularly suitable for skin with uneven tone, dilated pores or a rough texture, as well as for sensitive skin wishing to start using AHAs.
