Glycolic acid, with its small molecule, effectively penetrates the epidermis to dissolve the bonds between corneocytes and accelerate cell renewal; lactic acid, with its larger molecule, acts more on the surface while providing complementary moisturizing action. The pH is adjusted with sodium hydroxide to optimize the effectiveness of the acids while limiting irritation. The formula also incorporates sodium hyaluronate to maintain skin hydration, glycerol and diglycerin as humectants, and jojoba ester hydrolysate to soften skin texture. Sclerotia and xanthan gums ensure a stable texture. This product is suitable for dull, uneven-grained skin, prone to dilated pores or slight hyperpigmentation.
