AMILOXATE "ISOAMYL P-METHOXYCINNAMATE" is a recent (1997) oil-soluble organic sunscreen that protects in the UVB range (290-320 nm) with a peak absorption at 310 nm, and offers some additional protection in the UVA II range (320-340 nm). This is a new-generation UV filter approved up to 10 % in the European Union, but not available in the USA due to unworkable FDA regulations.
