Clean
Cleansing is a fundamental step in any skincare routine, especially in the evening. It removes impurities accumulated throughout the day. Poor cleansing can lead to imperfections, irritation and premature aging.
Each cleanser has a specific function: a fat-based cleanser such as an oil or make-up remover balm will more easily remove greasy residues, while a gel cleanser will remove hydrophilic residues. Ps: Micellar water removes both.

Moisturize
The skin's most important role is to act as a barrier, protecting you from external aggressors and limiting our insensible loss of water. To provide maximum hydration, you can combine essence, serum, cream, balm and mask - not all at the same time, of course.
Generally speaking, a lotion or serum contains a lot of humectants, while a moisturizing cream contains humectants, emollients and occlusives for complete hydration. However, we need to adapt this choice according to our skin type. "Dry, normal, combination, oily".

Sun protection
The sun is the main cause of premature aging of your skin, but also of skin cancer. Choosing a sunscreen is no easy task! Fortunately, we have a guide to help you find the sun cream you'll love applying every day.
See our page : how to choose the right sunscreen?
Treat: wrinkles, acne, blemishes, etc.
The "treatment" phase is carried out using cosmetic active ingredients These specific active ingredients are found particularly in serums, but can also be found in creams, lotions and even cleansers. The active ingredients used must correspond to your NEEDED.
Let's take a look at the different skin problems and the cosmetic ingredients that work to improve them.
Anti-wrinkle: Effective anti-wrinkle ingredients
The quickest way to combat wrinkles is to moisturize your skin as much as possible. This will help eliminate dehydration lines and soften deeper wrinkles. To achieve this, you need to multiply the number of products you use, such as moisturizing lotions, serums, creams, milks and masks. For the body, a moisturizing milk will do the trick.
On the other hand, there are cosmetic ingredients that promote the production of collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin. These collagen-boosting ingredients include vitamin C, vitamin A "retinoid", glycolic acid, niacinamide and peptides.
Sun protection with SPF 50 is an essential part of any beauty routine to limit the appearance of wrinkles.

Acne: Active ingredients effective against acne
Cleanse with a cleansing balm and cleansing gel, then use a serum or cream containing these active ingredients.
Visits retinoids:
For acne, an essential active ingredient is retinoids, which act on the main causes of acne. You can use reitinoids such as adapalene, which are available on prescription, or retinols such as Paula's Choice or the Ordinary.
Lsalicylic acid:
Salicylic acid is also a highly effective acne treatment that has been the subject of a number of publications, and one product we can recommend is Paula's Choice BHA salicylic acid liquid exfoliant.
Azelaic acid and niacinamide:
Azelaic acid is a useful ingredient in the fight against redness and inflammatory spots. Niacinamide can often be found in a good night cream to restore the skin barrier and reduce post-acne hyperpigmentation.

Hyperpigmentation: Anti-spot ingredients
The fight against skin spots is long and difficult, but not impossible. There are a multitude of products available to help diminish skin spots, and I'm going to mention some of the best-known: vitamin C, retinol, alpha abutin, tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, niacinamide, chemical exfoliating scrubs... These active ingredients can be incorporated into a lotion, gel, night cream or mask.
And of course sun protection, which is essential even if you have dark skin. A single day of sun exposure can ruin a year's efforts.

Dark circles: Blue, brown or hollow?
There are many causes of dark circles:
The blue ring is mainly due to the thinness of the skin, which allows the vessels and orbicularis muscle to show through. In this case, serums containing caffeine, peptides, green tea or vitamin K, which facilitate circulation, can help. Retinoids increase collagen production and thicken the dermis, and are also of interest. However, this active ingredient is very irritating, so use it with care.
The brown ring is caused by hyperpigmentation, and spot-fighting ingredients are effective, but as with blue circles, the area around the eyes is delicate and you need to use the right cosmetics.
The hollow ring cannot be treated cosmetically, and hyaluronic acid injections are the best option.
In any case, make-up should always be considered to reduce dark circles.

Blackheads:
Blackheads are caused by the accumulation of sebum in the pores, which is why oily skin is more prone to blackheads. To get rid of them, you need the right beauty routine:
- A purifying cleanser that removes traces of make-up, sunscreen and pollution. You can use cleansing oils, cleansing gels or cleansing balms.
- A "chemical peel" exfoliation with a cosmetic product containing salicylic acid, often found in lotion or gel form.
- Introduce a retinoid to accelerate cell regeneration and unclog pores.
- Vitamin B3 "niacinamide" reduces sebum production, and can be found in a night cream or moisturizing lotion.

Anti-ageing: Effective anti-ageing active ingredient
In anti-aging, the sun protection phase is essential, given that UV rays are the main cause of skin aging. To protect against UV rays, the application of SPF 50 sun cream is essential, but if we want to protect our skin even further, we need to incorporate anti-oxidants into our skincare routine.
Good anti-oxidant serums contain: Pure vitamin C, vitamin E, ferulic acid, Q10 coenzyme, resveratrol, organic polyphenols etc... The eye contour area should be your priority, as it is the area that ages and loses its radiance the fastest. Facial care alone is not enough, so don't forget to eat a balanced, organic diet.
To treat early wrinkles, the addition of cosmetics containing retinol will increase collagen production.

Anti-imperfection care: Smooth skin
Anti-pore, anti-blackhead and anti-sagging skin care products. To eliminate skin imperfections, we need to understand the cause of the problem in order to choose the right skin care products. Should pores be purified? Improve texture? Look for a lifting effect?

Redness: Reactive skin, allergies and rosacea
Redness has many causes, such as rosacea or a genuine allergy, but most often it's the result of skin sensitized by aggressive skincare routines. Look out for parapharmacy brands with thermal spring water in their cosmetics.
In this case, we recommend gentle cleansers and soothing moisturizers containing aloe vera and centella asiatica. Azelaic acid is also useful in the fight against redness.

The eye contour area: A delicate zone
As this is the body's thinnest skin, it requires appropriate moisturizing with ceramides, glycerin and hyaluronic acid.
Antioxidants are also important for keeping our eyes looking young.
Among the most interesting active ingredients for the eye contour area, I would choose peptides.
Peptides can improve lymphatic drainage, boost collagen production, reduce dynamic wrinkles and are non-irritating, making them perfect for the eye contour area.
And of course, vitamin A can preserve the youthfulness of this delicate skin.

The lips: A delicate mucosa
The skin on the lips is very particular: the stratum corneum, the most superficial layer of the epidermis, is very thin. The other particularity is that lip sticks and balms can be ingested, which is why I recommend organic products without toxic elements.
On the other hand, allergies to a lip stick or balm are not uncommon, and you need to pay close attention to how your lips react to its application.

Pockets: Edema or fat hernia
Puffiness under the eyes has two main causes: oedema and fat hernia. Fat hernia can only be treated by cosmetic surgery, but edema can be improved by facial care.
Cosmetic products containing draining peptides, caffeine and green tea are useful in cases of puffiness caused by edema.

Lifting care :
To firm and combat sagging skin, a classic anti-aging skin care routine based on vitamin C and retinol is not enough. My advice is to use exfoliating peels highly concentrated in glycolic, lactic and citric acids, etc., if you want a lifting effect. These cosmetic products are very powerful and should be used once a week at most. But make no mistake, there is no such thing as a truly lifting skin care product.
Personally, I use them once every 15 days, most of them being masks to be applied for between 5 and 15 minutes, then rinsed off thoroughly. I recommend using a moisturizing mask or balm afterwards.

Exfoliation: Chemical exfoliation
To improve skin texture, texture and radiance, as always, retinoids act as exfoliants, shortening the cell regeneration cycle, but they are not really exfoliants.
Most of you are familiar with exfoliants: glycolic, salicylic, lactic and mandelic acids. The question is how to use them and at what rate.
AHA-type exfoliants such as glycolic acid or lactic acid, which are water-soluble, remove dead cell build-up, improve skin texture and restore radiance, making them ideal for dry skin.
Exfoliants such as salicylic acid are fat-soluble and help to deep-clean pores and reduce inflammation, making them ideal for those prone to imperfections and oily skin.
