What are the benefits of charcoal powder for the skin?
Activated charcoal is a plant ingredient increasingly used in skin care products. Present in many masks and soaps, it offers multiple benefits to the epidermis.
Activated charcoal absorbs excess sebum: Sebum build-up can block pores, leading to the appearance of blackheads and/or blackheads. By absorbing excess sebum, activated charcoal prevents the appearance of pimples and matifies oily skin. It gives skin a radiant glow and evens out skin tone.
Activated charcoal eliminates impurities: Activated charcoal is capable of absorbing toxins and impurities from the skin's surface. It is therefore particularly recommended to use a product based on activated charcoal if you live in a polluted environment, to purify and detoxify your skin.
Activated charcoal to gently exfoliate the skin: Activated charcoal has a granular yet gentle texture that gently exfoliates the skin mechanically. It eliminates dead cells on the skin's surface, stimulating cell renewal.
