L'Oréal's biphasic eye and lip make-up remover is formulated to effectively dissolve waterproof make-up. Its aqueous phase (Aqua) ensures cutaneous and mucosal tolerance, while the oily phase combines Cyclopentasiloxane (volatile silicone) and Isohexadecane (hydrocarbon oil) to solubilize water-resistant pigments and polymers, particularly long-wearing mascaras and lipsticks. Isopropyl Palmitate reinforces this solvent power on greasy substances. Panthenol (provitamin B5) soothes and moisturizes the periorbital area and lips, which are particularly sensitive. Poloxamer 184 acts as an emulsifier, facilitating suspension of the two phases during agitation. Preservation is ensured by Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent. CI 61565 is a colorant used to visually identify the oil phase. This product is suitable for people using waterproof or long-wearing make-up, including those wearing contact lenses (provided they are removed before use), and for sensitive skin thanks to its fragrance-free formulation and the inclusion of panthenol.
