Glycerine has a humectant effect, retaining water in the superficial layers of the epidermis. Althaea officinalis (marshmallow) root extract is rich in mucilage with softening and soothing properties, while Hamamelis virginiana floral water has a mild astringent and antioxidant action. Cocoyl proline, an amino acid derivative, contributes to the formula's skin tolerance. The presence of alcohol at the beginning of the INCI list is worth noting: it may be slightly drying for very dry or reactive skin. This product is mainly suitable for normal to combination skin, and can be used by sensitive skin with caution. Declared fragrance allergens (limonene, linalool, citronellol, geraniol, citral) call for vigilance on the part of people prone to contact allergies.
