In 2025, a major trend is shaking up the world of body care: the «skinification» of the body. Inspired by advances in facial care, this approach incorporates powerful active ingredients, such as exfoliating acids, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides, into body products. As a result, body care is no longer limited to simple moisturizing, but offers targeted benefits for radiant, healthy skin.

Exfoliate your skin once or twice a week.

Regular exfoliation removes dead cells and impurities accumulated on the epidermis, promoting cell regeneration and skin radiance. It also improves microcirculation and optimizes the effectiveness of subsequent skincare products.

For the body, it is recommended to use mechanical scrubs containing abrasive micro-grains or exfoliating gloves for a stimulating and draining massage. You can also choose a chemical scrub, with fruit acids (AHA, BHA) for a deep-acting effect. Rough areas, such as elbows, heels, or knees, require special attention with a more vigorous scrub.

Moisturize your skin

Regardless of its nature, skin requires daily hydration to maintain its suppleness and elasticity, thereby preventing premature aging. External aggressions, particularly UV rays, can accelerate skin dehydration. It is advisable to use moisturizing cleansers in the shower, followed by the application of a moisturizer suited to your skin type.

Ingredients such as coconut oil, rich in saturated fatty acids, and vegetable glycerin, known for its moisturizing properties, are particularly beneficial, as well as hyaluronic acid for deep hydration.

Nourish your skin

With the arrival of sunny days, it is essential to nourish the skin with lipids to restore its hydrolipidic film, especially after the first exposures to the sun.

Vegetable oils, such as rosehip oil with regenerating properties, rich hibiscus oil in vitamin E and raspberry oil suitable for sensitive skin, are recommended. For those who prefer a cream texture, opt for a body cream enriched with squalane and in shea butter can provide intense nourishment, ideal for dry to very dry skin.

Protect yourself from the sun's UV rays

Sun protection is essential whenever you are exposed to the sun. The choice of sun protection factor (SPF) should be adapted to the sensitivity and skin tone of the individual. According to the Fitzpatrick classification, skin types I and II, characterized by very fair skin, should use SPF 50. Skin types III and IV, with fair to slightly olive skin, should opt for an SPF between 30 and 50. Finally, skin types V and VI, corresponding to mixed to black skin, can use an SPF between 20 and 30. Adequate protection helps prevent skin damage caused by UV rays, such as premature aging and pigmentation spots.
