Is your skin tired from the heat? Here are 7 steps to restore radiance to your complexion.

When temperatures rise, the skin is put to the test: perspiration, dehydration, oxidative stress, and prolonged exposure to the sun can dull the complexion. However, with the right routine, it is entirely possible to achieve glowing, fresh skin.
1. Internal hydration and appropriate care
Hot weather promotes water loss through perspiration. It is recommended to drink 2 to 3 liters of water per day and to consume foods rich in water such as cucumber or watermelon. At the same time, when it comes to cosmetics, choose light, non-comedogenic textures (gel, lotion, serum) based on’hyaluronic acid, glycerin, aloe vera or squalane, that moisturize without weighing down the skin.
2. Gentle double cleansing
In summer, pollution, sebum, and sweat accumulate on the skin. Cleansing twice a day, morning and evening, is recommended. In the evening, opt for double cleansing (makeup remover or oil, then a gentle cleanser) to properly remove SPF, makeup, and impurities. Avoid products that are too harsh to preserve the skin barrier.
3. Gentle and controlled exfoliation
Exfoliating once or twice a week helps remove dead skin cells, refine skin texture, and improve the absorption of skincare products. Opt for gentle chemical exfoliants (AHA, BHA, enzymes) in order to limit micro-lesions and skin sensitivity.
4. Antioxidant actives morning and evening
UV rays, pollution, and oxidative stress generate free radicals that accelerate skin aging. Ingredients such as vitamin Stabilized vitamin C, niacinamide, ferulic acid or vitamin E protect the skin and promote an even complexion. Using an antioxidant serum in the morning multiplies the benefits of protection.
5. Strict sun protection
Every day, a broad spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen is essential, even on cloudy days or indoors, as UVA rays can penetrate glass. It is essential to reapply every two hours, especially after exercise, swimming, or sweating. Choose formulas suited to your skin type: gels for oily skin, light textures for combination or sensitive skin.
6. Adopting light, functional makeup
In summer, opt for fluid, breathable, non-comedogenic textures: BB cream, tinted serum, or tinted cream with a high SPF, which even out the complexion without clogging the skin. For a natural glow, mix a few drops of vitamin C brightening concentrate into your moisturizer.
Finally, a colorless fixing spray prolongs hold while controlling shine.
7. Facial sauna, carefully calibrated to stimulate radiance
Facial saunas or steam baths open pores, stimulate blood circulation, and help eliminate toxins and impurities, resulting in smoother skin texture, better absorption of subsequent skincare products, and a more radiant complexion.
To preserve the benefits, limit to 1 to 2 sessions per week of 10 to 15 minutes maximum, always on clean skin, followed by thorough moisturizing.
Please note: individuals with sensitive skin or rosacea should consult a professional before incorporating this practice into their routine.
