This Nivea make-up remover oil is based on a lipid base combining paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil) and caprylic/capric triglyceride (triglycerides derived from coconut oil), which effectively dissolve greasy cosmetic residues, including waterproof make-up, through lipophilic affinity. Isopropyl palmitate and ethylhexyl stearate are emollient esters that liquefy texture and facilitate spreading on the skin. Isododecane, a light volatile solvent, contributes to the non-greasy feel on application. PEG-20 glyceryl triisostearate acts as an emulsifier, enabling the oil to rinse off with water without leaving an excessively occlusive film. Grape seed oil (Vitis vinifera seed oil), rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids including linoleic acid, provides nourishing and light antioxidant properties, complemented by tocopherol (vitamin E), which also protects the formula from oxidation. This product is particularly suitable for normal to dry skin requiring gentle, effective make-up removal; acne-prone or very oily skin should use it with caution due to the presence of paraffinum liquidum and isopropyl palmitate, potentially comedogenic for skin sensitive to this type of ingredient.
