Lactic acid (AHA) and mandelic acid (AHA with a larger molecule) provide gentle chemical exfoliation, promoting cell renewal and gradually reducing uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation. Sodium lactate, derived from lactic acid, acts as a natural moisturizing factor (NMF), boosting the water-holding capacity of the stratum corneum. A low concentration of urea completes this moisturizing and light keratolytic action. The lipid complex of ceramide NP and sphingolipids helps strengthen the skin barrier by reconstituting intercellular lipids. Birch extract (*Betula alba*) and white willow bark extract (*Salix alba*) provide soothing and antioxidant properties, while tocopherol (vitamin E) protects the formula and skin from oxidative stress. This product is suitable for dull, uneven or slightly hyperpigmented skin seeking moderate exfoliation. It is not recommended for very sensitive or reactive skin not previously accustomed to AHAs.
