My opinion on Some By Mi

If you're a fan of K-Beauty, you've probably heard of Some By Mi, a brand often promoted for its promises of rapid skin transformation. But between their iconic products and a few questionable formulations, what should you really try at Some By Mi? Here's my honest opinion, based on my experience and recommendations.

Introducing Some By Mi

Some By Mi is a Korean brand that offers targeted skincare products for all skin types. Their most famous range is the Miracle Line, composed of gentle exfoliating ingredients such as AHA, BHA and PHA, but also many soothing ingredients such as Centella Asiatica.

The brand promises visible results in 30 days, which is certainly a catchy name, but Let's not forget that skin care requires time and consistency.. Now, let's move on to the products!

1. AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner: a gentle and effective exfoliant

This toner is one of the products headlights from Some By Mi, and honestly, it deserves its success. It combines chemical exfoliants:

  • BHA (salicylic acid) : perfect for oily skin and blemishes.
  • PHA (lactobionic acid) : a gentle exfoliant, ideal for sensitive skin.
  • AHA (papaya extract) : exfoliates the surface for a smoother complexion.

As a bonus, there is tea tree, excellent for acne-prone skin, and niacinamide for an even complexion. Despite the presence of peppermint oil, which can irritate some sensitive skin types, I did not experience any irritation.

💡 My verdict: If you're looking for a gentle exfoliant to start with, this toner is an excellent option. It refines skin texture, reduces pores, and leaves skin feeling soothed. Rating: 9/10

2. 30 Days Miracle Serum: a mixed bag of ingredients

This two-phase serum, composed of 14.5% of Centella Asiatica and the same exfoliants as the toner, promises to calm irritation and treat blemishes. It also contains antioxidants such as turmeric and the’rice bran oil, but also of the glycerin for hydration.

However, the presence of extract of’orange peel was not ideal for my sensitive skin, which leads me to advise against it for reactive skin types.

💡 My verdict: For dry to normal skin, this serum may be appealing, but I prefer its version. Light, gentler and suitable for oily or sensitive skin. Rating: 7/10

3. Propolis B5 Glow Barrier Serum: a multi-action serum that's a firm favorite

This serum is one of my favorites from Some By Mi. Enriched with propolis and honey, it is both:

  • Moisturizer thanks to glycerin and sodium hyaluronate.
  • Soothing with Centella Asiatica and tea tree.
  • Repairer thanks to ceramides and niacinamide.

Its light texture is easy to apply and leaves a soft, comfortable finish. It is the ideal serum For tired, irritated skin or skin in need of radiance.

💡 My verdict: A perfect serum for winter or for strengthening the skin barrier. Rating: 9.5/10

4. Miracle Cream: a light moisturizer for everyday use

With 70% from Centella Asiatica, this cream is a real skin drink. It combines moisturizing ingredients such as glycerin and the sodium hyaluronate, while containing ceramides to repair the skin barrier.

💡 My verdict: A light cream, ideal for oily or combination skin. It soothes, moisturizes, and can be used as all seasons. Rating: 8.5/10

What about other products?

  • Pimple Patches : effective and discreet, they do the job perfectly when it comes to treating blemishes.
  • Clear Foam Cleanser : a gentle exfoliating cleanser, but nothing particularly original.
  • Retinol Eye Cream : Formulated specifically for the eye area with 0.11% retinol, it gently moisturizes and treats fine lines.

Conclusion: Is it worth trying Some By Mi?

Some By Mi offers skincare products. effective, especially for blemish-prone and sensitive skin. Their Miracle Line perfectly combines gentle exfoliation, hydration, and soothing properties, making it a very comprehensive range.

My favorites:

  1. AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner
  2. Propolis B5 Glow Barrier Serum
  3. Miracle Cream

Certain products, such as the two-phase serum, deserve special attention for sensitive skin, but overall, it's a brand accessible and efficient.
