Role: EMULSIFIANT

Family:

Comedogenic index: 0

CETEARYL OLIVATE is an ester derived from cetearyl alcohol and olive oil fatty acids. It is often used in combination with sorbitan olivate to form the famous natural emulsifier Olivem 1000.

It is an emulsifier that binds water and oil.
It also contributes to better absorption of water-soluble active ingredients such as caffeine, and can even increase the sun protection factor in sunscreen formulations.

All in all, it's a true multi-tasker with pleasing sensory properties. No wonder it's so popular.
