Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel is a cleanser formulated for oily, acne-prone skin. Its cleansing base combines zinc coceth sulfate, lauryl betaine (a mild amphoteric surfactant) and decyl glucoside (a plant-derived surfactant), enabling effective removal of sebum and impurities without excessively altering the hydrolipidic film. Zinc gluconate, a bioavailable form of zinc, regulates sebaceous activity and limits skin bacterial proliferation. Milk thistle extract (*Silybum marianum*), rich in silymarin, provides antioxidant properties and helps soothe local inflammatory reactions. PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate and PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil act as emollients and solubilizers, preserving skin comfort after rinsing. Citric acid adjusts the formula's pH to respect the skin's natural acidity. This product is suitable for combination to oily skin prone to blemishes and blackheads, including teenage skin. However, it is less suitable for reactive dry or sensitive skin, due to the presence of sulfates and isopropyl alcohol.

I use it in combination with the lotion in the range, and it cleanses my face well, even the little make-up I can put on.

Too dry
Good product but perfumed. My sensitive skin with imperfections doesn't like it. Too drying. Known product for over 20 years. There are better products on the market today.
