Etude House Soon Jung pH 5.5 Relief Toner is a soothing lotion formulated around a pH of 5.5, in line with the skin's natural pH, which helps maintain the integrity of the hydrolipidic film and skin flora. Its moisturizing base is based on glycerin and betaine, two osmotic humectants that capture and retain water in the superficial layers of the epidermis, complemented by propanediol to enhance the penetration of active ingredients. Panthenol (provitamin B5) supports skin barrier repair and has a mild anti-inflammatory action. Madecassoside, an isolated fraction of Centella asiatica, acts on inflammation receptors and stimulates collagen synthesis, contributing to healing and reducing redness. Scutellaria baicalensis root extract provides flavonoids (baïcaline) with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, while tocopherol (vitamin E) and Camellia sinensis extract complete the protection against oxidative stress. This product is particularly suitable for sensitive, reactive or weakened skin, as well as skin prone to redness or recovering from dermatological treatment.

Fresh tonic ...
So yes, it's a really fresh toner. When you apply it to the skin, you immediately feel that sensation. On the other hand, and this is rather contradictory, in terms of hydration... ok, it moisturizes, but it's not exceptional compared to other competitors. Its only real strength is that unique sensation of freshness.

It's the only toner I can tolerate over the long term, thanks to Doctor Pi, a Korean skin care specialist, and she always recommends this toner for sensitive skin because it's really gentle, contains few active ingredients and above all no irritating ones. This is the 2021 version, but you should know that it has been renewed and the composition has also changed, as has the packajing. There's also a 500ml JUMBO version for 33.39€, but it's often on special offer at 26.72€ on Yesstyle.
