Avis Buffet » + Copper peptides 1% The Ordinary
Description
This serum is a high-performance anti-aging treatment. It contains a wide range of ingredients that help slow down the aging of the epidermis. These include Matrixyl 3000, which stimulates collagen and HA synthesis, and revitalizes wrinkles. The serum's name derives from the combination of its various ingredients, which are considered a veritable buffet for the epidermis. In short, it's a powerful all-in-one treatment that acts favorably on the signs of aging.
How to use "Buffet" + Copper peptides 1% from The ordinary?
It's important to know that you can't use a copper peptide serum at the same time as a product with an acidic PH, such as a pure vitamin C serum or an exfoliant.
My technique is to use copper peptides alternately every other night with a retinol product. I use it after cleansing and moisturizing lotion, but after your moisturizer.
On the other hand, be careful with copper peptide if your skin is irritated: according to one study, copper peptides could degrade collagen if your skin is already damaged. So this active ingredient should not be used if you're in the middle of a retinol tolerance phase, or after a sunburn.
Which products should Buffet + Copper Peptides 1 % not be mixed with?
This product should not be combined with vitamin C-based products. The acidic pH of vitamin C alters the chemical structure of copper peptides, diminishing their anti-aging action.
For the same reason, avoid combining fruit acids (glycolic acid, lactic acid, etc.) with these molecules.
In the tolerance phase, I advise against combining peptides, and therefore Buffet + Copper Peptides 1 %, with retinol. This combination could lead to skin reactivity.
What role do peptides play in cosmetics?
Discovery and role of peptides
Synthetic peptides are increasingly sought-after by cosmetics brands. Their use is now widespread in anti-aging formulas. According to Dr Loren Pickart (the man who discovered peptides in 1973), these molecules possess highly healing and anti-inflammatory properties. They can send signals to the epidermis mimicking those of the brain to stimulate the body's natural peptides. In this way, they boost skin regeneration and promote the production of collagen, fibroblasts, etc.

One of the serums I most repurchased from the Ordinary, and the most appreciated. It seemed to contribute to the health of my skin barrier. I particularly appreciated its soothing effect, which my very sensitive and reactive combination to oily skin sorely needs!

Serum from TO that I buy all the time.
It moisturizes my skin well and seems to help even out my complexion.

Doesn't work for me unfortunately (I was very enthusiastic after reading the many positive comments as well as the opinions of Internet skincare specialists.
I have sensitive skin, which I take great care of and which earns me praise from my friends.
This serum "heated" and tingled the skin on my face. Even using the sandwich technique.
Worse in the morning, the skin on my cheeks (mainly) felt like paper and the tip of my nose was red and reactive. No problems on the neck or décolleté, however.
It was with great regret that I resigned myself to using this serum, which did nothing good for my skin.
