Butylene glycol acts as a humectant and penetration vector, while panthenol (provitamin B5) provides a soothing, moisturizing action on skin often weakened by water-resistant make-up. Cornflower extract (Centaurea cyanus) is recognized for its decongestant and soothing properties on sensitive eyes. The formula also incorporates active ingredients targeting lash quality: apigenin (a plant-derived flavonoid), oleanolic acid and biotinoyl tripeptide-1, a biomimetic peptide that stimulates signaling pathways involved in hair growth, suggesting an action on lash density and resistance with regular use. Solubilizing agents PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil and PPG-26-buteth-26 ensure miscibility of the two phases upon agitation.
