Summer Beauty Ritual: the complete guide to radiant skin
Summer and vacation are no excuse for not having a summer beauty routine that's just right for you! Here are our tips for adopting a skincare routine adapted to the summer season.
Tip 1: Choose the right sunscreen
Even though sunscreen is an everyday, year-round essential, it goes without saying that in summer it's ESSENTIAL. It's essential to bring along your favorite sunscreen, to be applied in the morning after your moisturizer, and to reapply protection every two hours, especially when exposed to the sun. This will help you avoidhyperpigmentation for radiant skin in the autumn.
Finally, don't expose yourself to the sun directly, on a deckchair or beach towel, without shade and in full sunlight, as this can really damage your skin.
Tip #2: Don't skip out on moisturizer
Sweating, sun exposure, swimming, sun creams - many of you mistakenly skip out on moisturizing cream. This is a mistake, especially in summer. A moisturizing cream provides the skin with deep nourishment and regulates sebum after cleansing. Skin that isn't properly moisturized will tend to compensate by producing much more sebum. The result is shiny, oily skin and imperfections. So moisturize your skin morning and night! For summer, you can use a gel-cream texture, which is fresher and lighter.
My recommendation for moisturizing gel-cream :
A supermarket nugget! When I don't have time, or haven't yet received one of my orders from Korea, I run to the supermarket and buy Neutrogena's hydroboost face cream-gel. Rich in hyaluronic acid, the texture is super fresh and pleasant to apply. It's a good moisturizer that's easy to find everywhere.

For the evening, fill up on skin nutrition, with a richer cream if you wish.
My recommendation for summer evening moisturizer :
Heimish Matcha Biome Intensive Repair Cream. A thick, enveloping texture, with moisturizing, purifying and antioxidant agents. I find this cream perfect for preventing skin dried out by the sun and heat and avoiding dehydration. Plumped-up skin guaranteed when you wake up the next morning.
Tip 3: Regular exfoliation
Good chemical exfoliation is one of the keys to avoiding dead cell build-up and hyperpigmentation. Gentle exfoliation allows the skin to renew its cells and retain its radiance. In summer, I recommend very gentle active ingredients.
My exfoliating recommendation?
I particularly like Neogen's Green Tea Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Pads. It's a small box containing 30 pads impregnated with exfoliating lotion. Easy to use, simply wipe over cleansed skin in the evening before moisturizing, once or twice a week. It's very gentle, so there's no risk of burning, even for beginners.

Tip 4: Vitamin C is your ally
Using a vitamin C serum in summer is highly recommended. As a morning ritual, before your moisturizer, a vitamin C serum will not only charge your skin with antioxidants, but also protect it from pigmentation spots.
My recommendation vitamin C serum:
The radiance boosting C-Capsule serum from Make:Prem. I've already told you about this product many times, but it's a gem in its formulation. I find it very hydrating, since it contains glycerine and hyaluronic acid, it's soothing thanks to panthenol, and it contains traxenamic acid and arbutin, essential ingredients for treating spots already present. The texture is fluid and super-light, and the pump packaging makes application easy.
Tip 5: Choose gentle cleansers
In the evening, it's a mandatory double-cleanse to remove all traces of make-up, chlorine, salt, sunscreen and impurities. This will also help eliminate the bacteria responsible for acne when you return from vacation ( reread the dedicated article ) . What's best? Use a cleansing oil or balm as a first step. The oily texture dissolves all make-up, as well as sunscreen and other products. The second step is to use a light-textured gel cleanser, adapted to your skin type if necessary. As a reminder, toner is not a cleanser, but a lotion to prepare the skin to receive skincare products!
Need to test if your cleansing is going well? Personally, I always use a clean white towel to wipe my face. My tip? If the towel has traces of make-up on it, you need to clean it again!
