SQUALANE (Squalane, Hydrogenated Oil), AQUA, COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, GLYCERIN, SUCROSE STEARATE, ETHYL MACADAMIATE, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, SUCROSE LAURATE (Nonionic surfactant), POLYACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER-6, ISOCETETH-20, SODIUM POLYACRYLATE, TOCOPHEROL (Vitamin E), Hydroxymethyoxyphenyl decanone, TRISODIUM ETHYLENEDIAMINE DISUCCINATE, MALIC ACID (AHA exfoliating acid), ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, CHLORPHENESIN The Ordinary's Squalane Cleanser is a cleansing emulsion formulated around squalane, a lipid hydrocarbon of plant origin (usually derived from sugar cane) that has a structural affinity with cutaneous sebum. This mechanism effectively dissolves lipophilic impurities - make-up, excess sebum, pollution particles - without altering the hydrolipidic film. Coco-caprylate/caprate and caprylic/capric triglycerides act as emollients and co-solvents, while glycerine ensures osmotic hydration of the epidermis during rinsing. Sucrose esters (sucrose stearate, sucrose laurate) act as gentle surfactants of natural origin, enabling emulsification and residue removal without harsh detergency. Tocopherol provides antioxidant protection, and hydroxymethoxyphenyl decanone (Symsave® H) reinforces this action. Malic acid contributes to a slight pH adjustment. This cleanser is particularly suitable for dry, sensitive or reactive skin, as well as for normal skin wishing to preserve its cutaneous barrier. It is ideal as the first step in a double cleansing routine, or as a single cleanser for skin not prone to impurities.
