The PHA Toner from The Inkey List is a gentle exfoliating lotion formulated around gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) that acts as a surface chemical exfoliant, promoting cell renewal, while also exhibiting humectant properties thanks to its multi-hydroxylated structure. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) completes this action by regulating sebum production, reducing uneven skin tone and reinforcing the cutaneous barrier. Glycerine and propanediol provide basic hydration, while aloe barbadensis leaf juice has a soothing effect. This toner is particularly suitable for sensitive or reactive skin that cannot tolerate conventional AHAs or BHAs, as well as for combination to oily skin with irregularities in texture or complexion. Its gentle profile also makes it suitable for skin new to chemical exfoliation.

A great toner for sensitive skin
It's great for temperamental skin that reacts at the drop of a hat. It's effective, but you need patience. At first, it looks like all you're using is water, but you have to take it easy and use soothing products to avoid sensitizing your skin. When I use this kind of product, I always put panthenol with it and it goes on like cream.
