This ointment from Mixa's Cica range combines several complementary active ingredients for repairing and soothing. Urea, a keratolytic and humectant agent, promotes deep hydration and improves the cohesion of the skin film. Allantoin, derived from uric acid, has a healing and softening action, stimulating cell renewal and reducing irritation. Shea butter (*Butyrospermum parkii*) provides essential fatty acids that restore the skin's lipid barrier. Glycerine and propylene glycol act as humectants, retaining water in the superficial layers of the epidermis. Dimethicone forms a protective occlusive film that limits insensible water loss. Glycine, an amino acid, contributes to tissue suppleness. The rich, emollient ointment texture is particularly suitable for very dry, damaged skin, prone to chapping or with small superficial lesions. It can be used on the face, body and rubbed areas. The presence of fragrance makes it inadvisable for reactive or severely atopic skin.

I love this cream, it's effective for dry, chapped heels. I buy it at least once a month and apply it to my heels every second or third day.
