AHAs (25 % in total) include glycolic, lactic, mandelic, tartaric and malic acids: these water-soluble acids act by breaking the ionic bonds between corneocytes, promoting desquamation of dead cells and stimulating cell renewal. Fat-soluble salicylic acid (BHA, 2 %) penetrates the hair follicle to dislodge sebaceous plugs and exert a keratolytic and anti-inflammatory action. Aminomethyl propanol adjusts the pH to an optimal level (around 3.5-4) to guarantee the effectiveness of the acids. The formula also incorporates soothing and moisturizing active ingredients - sodium hyaluronate, glycerine, allantoin, bisabolol and glycyrrhetinic acid - to limit post-exfoliation irritation. Clitoria ternatea* extract provides antioxidants, while tocopherol (vitamin E) protects against oxidative stress. This product is suitable for skin with irregular texture, dilated pores, pigmentation spots or a dull complexion, but requires gradual acclimatization and the rigorous application of SPF during the day. It is not recommended for very sensitive or reactive skin.
