This 300 ml facial toner formulated by The Beauty Dept is based mainly on Rosa damascena floral water, recognized for its soothing and slightly astringent properties on sensitive or reactive skin. Glycerine and sodium hyaluronate act as humectants, capturing water in the superficial layers of the epidermis and limiting trans-epidermal water loss. Sodium lactate and lactic acid, two compounds of the natural moisturizing factor (NMF), help maintain skin pH and contribute to a slight chemical exfoliation effect in low concentrations. Gluconolactone, a mild polyhydroxy acid (PHA), reinforces this cell renewal action while being well tolerated by sensitive skin. Calcium gluconate supports the skin's barrier function. The formula contains fragrance with declared allergens (linalool, citronellol, geraniol), making it inadvisable for skin allergic to fragrance components. This product is mainly suitable for normal to combination skin looking for daily moisturizing care and light rebalancing of the hydrolipidic film, to be used after cleansing, before active skincare products.

This facial toner smells delicately of roses, leaves a good sensation after cleansing the skin before applying the rest of the daily care 🙂
