Two highly effective methods for creating a skincare routine! according to an esthetic surgeon

This is a very common question, and I'm going to tell you about it. two methods.

The first method to get a personalized routine depending on your skin type, your problems, your skin sensitivity and your budget, it's time to download the beautydecoded application!

Make the right choices for your skin

Say goodbye to unnecessary get visible results!

Our artificial intelligence recommends personalized cosmetics.

All in all, we created 336 different routines. This work took several years and a rigorous selection of the 200 best products from all the cosmetics I tested. You'll have access to 6 distinct routines: a classic routineroutine with a retinoidand a vegan routine based on natural ingredients. For each of these routines, you can choose between a low-cost version and one with a more substantial budget.

The second method is to select the right cosmetics for your skin type and combine them to create the perfect routine!

Morning routine

1. Cleaning or simple rinsing

Let's start with the steps of the morning skincare routine. The first essential step is cleansing. However, the approach differs according to your skin type. For dry skin, simply rinsing with water is enough to preserve natural moisture and lipids, which are often in short supply for this type of skin. The same applies to normal skin, which is not prone to imperfections. Combination and oily skin, on the other hand, requires a specific cleanser to eliminate the excess sebum accumulated overnight.

2. Application of lotion (optional)
In Asia, lotion is a key step in the routine, but remains optional. I particularly appreciate Korean lotions, often enriched with rice, ginseng or tea extracts, which complement the active ingredients in serums. Depending on their formulation, they can significantly improve hydration and microbiome balance.

3. Choice of serum
Serums target specific skin problems. We recommend choosing a serum according to your needs: anti-aging, anti-imperfections or anti-hyperpigmentation.

4. Eye contour (optional)
The use of an eye contour treatment is also optional. The choice depends on your problem: puffiness, fine lines, dark or blue circles. I'm planning a video dedicated to eye contour care.

5. Moisturizing cream
For dry skin, moisturizing cream is essential; for combination and oily skin, it may be optional. Its use depends on several factors: the time available, the climate, and above all the evolution of your skin. In winter, or if you use products that dry out the skin, applying a moisturizer in the morning is recommended. In summer, however, this step can sometimes be superfluous.

6. Sun cream
The essential step is to apply sunscreen, whatever your skin type, to protect against UV rays, even on cloudy days or in winter.

Evening skincare routine

1. Double cleaning
In the evening, I recommend double cleansing, especially if you're wearing water-resistant sunscreen or make-up, or if you're exposed to pollution. This method involves first using a cleansing oil or balm to remove any residue of pollution, make-up or sunscreen, as fats dissolve better with each other. Then use a gentle cleanser to remove the last impurities. This process is highly effective in purifying the skin without damaging it, unlike a powerful cleanser which can damage the cutaneous barrier.

If you don't wear make-up or water-resistant sunscreen, a medium-strength cleanser may suffice. It's important to adapt to your skin's needs: if you feel tightness after cleansing, it means the cleanser is too strong and risks sensitizing your skin, making it more permeable and prone to dehydration. On the other hand, if you notice residues of make-up or pollution, your cleanser may not be effective enough, which can dull the complexion and encourage imperfections.

2. Application of lotion (optional)
As in the morning, applying a lotion in the evening is optional, depending on personal preference.

3. Choice of serum
Your evening serum should also meet your skin's specific needs. For example, if you use a retinoid every other night, feel free to alternate with your morning serum on evenings when you don't apply it.

4. Eye contour (optional)
Applying an eye contour cream is optional, but it can help moisturize this delicate area.

5. Moisturizing cream
To round off the evening routine, a moisturizing cream is essential, as it helps maintain hydration throughout the night, promoting cell regeneration for a radiant complexion when you wake up. As with the morning routine, you can personalize the number of steps. In general, a more complete routine moisturizes more, but it also increases the risk of reactions to the ingredients. I therefore recommend starting with a minimalist routine to gradually get used to it.
