UVB protection is based on a combination of ethylhexyl triazine, phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid and terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid, while UVA coverage is provided by butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane (avobenzone), bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine (Tinosorb S), drometrizole trisiloxane and diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (Uvinul A Plus). The molecule METHOXYPROPYLAMINO CYCLOHEXENYLIDENE ETHOXYETHYLCYANOACETATE, a patented MCE filter, specifically extends protection to long UVA rays (UVA1), justifying the UVMUNE 400 label. Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii) and tocopherol (vitamin E) provide emollient and antioxidant properties respectively, limiting UV-induced oxidative stress. The milky texture, stabilized by acrylic polymers and xanthan gum, is suitable for the sensitive, delicate skin of children, as well as adults with reactive or sun-intolerant skin. The presence of denatured alcohol deserves attention for very dry or atopic skin.
