CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser** is an oil-based foaming cleanser formulated to effectively cleanse the skin while preserving its cutaneous integrity. Its cleansing base combines gentle plant-derived surfactants - disodium cocoyl glutamate and coco-betaine - which solubilize impurities and sebum without destabilizing the hydrolipidic film. The oil phase, composed of squalane and caprylic/capric triglycerides, provides an emollient effect and limits the sensation of post-cleansing tightness. The ceramide (NP, AP, EOP), cholesterol and phytosphingosine complex reproduces the natural composition of epidermal intercellular cement, helping to maintain the skin's barrier function. Sodium hyaluronate ensures surface hydration through a hygroscopic effect, while capryloyl glycine has a mild sebum-regulating action. This product is particularly suitable for normal to dry skin, as well as for sensitive or fragile skin whose cutaneous barrier has been altered. It can also be used by combination skins looking for gentle cleansing without a drying effect.

Excellent cleaner
Excellent cleanser, but beware of the misleading name. It's not a cleansing oil but simply a superfatted cleanser. It's perfect and very effective. The composition is excellent, and it gently cleanses my combination and sensitive skin. I think it's suitable for all skin types. It's an easy, high-quality product, and what's more, the pump-bottle format is top-notch!

I always repurchase. It's a foaming cleanser, not an oil cleanser. Extremely gentle. For me, dry and sensitive mature skin, this is the grail. Its name is really misleading. A must try, you need very little.

Please note that this is not a cleansing oil but a cleanser that I use as a second step on my dry, sensitive skin. I sometimes change cleansers, but I always come back to this one. It's extremely gentle.
