AHAs act by dissolving the bonds between corneocytes to accelerate cell renewal, fade pigmentation spots and refine skin texture; glycolic acid, with its small molecule, penetrates rapidly and effectively targets uneven skin tone, while mandelic acid, with its larger molecule, acts more gradually with a less irritating profile. PHAs (gluconolactone, lactobionic acid) exfoliate the surface while providing a humectant and antioxidant action, making them better tolerated on sensitive skin. The formula also incorporates cross-linked sodium hyaluronate and aloe vera juice to limit the drying effect inherent in acids, as well as cranberry extract for antioxidant action. This product is suitable for skin with hyperpigmentation, uneven tone, rough texture or signs of cutaneous aging; the presence of PHA makes it suitable for combination to sensitive skin, subject to gradual introduction and rigorous daytime photoprotection.
