The Ordinary's Glycolipid Cleansing Cream is a creamy-textured cleanser formulated around glycolipids, naturally-occurring amphiphilic molecules that act as gentle surfactants, solubilizing impurities and sebum without altering the skin's hydrolipidic film. Polyglyceryl-2 stearate and polyglyceryl-6 dicaprate complete this cleansing action with a high tolerance profile, while glyceryl stearate and behenyl alcohol give the formula its emollient consistency and help maintain the skin barrier after rinsing. Pentylene glycol provides a moisturizing and humectant surface effect. The formula is stabilized by diutan gum and polyacrylate crosspolymer, and protected from oxidation by sodium phytate and phytic acid, which chelate trace metals. This cleanser is particularly suitable for dry, sensitive or reactive skin that has difficulty tolerating conventional sulfate-based foaming cleansers. It can also be incorporated into a double cleansing routine as a second step, or used on its own for gentle daily cleansing.

Pleasant and cleans well
Pleasantly light texture, cleanses the skin well.

Not convinced
Not suitable for combination skin, even as a morning cleanser. Leaves an oily film on the skin.
