This exfoliating lotion from The Ordinary combines 10 % mandelic acid with cross-linked hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer) to combine keratolytic action and surface hydration. Mandelic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds, whose large molecule makes it slower and more gradual to penetrate the skin than other AHAs such as glycolic acid, making it generally better tolerated. It acts by dissolving the bonds between corneocytes, promoting cell renewal and reducing uneven skin tone, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and irregular textures. Propanediol and glycerine provide a moisturizing base, while Tasmannia lanceolata (Tasmanian pepper) extract provides antioxidant and soothing properties. Dimethyl isosorbide acts as a penetrating solvent, optimizing the bioavailability of active ingredients. This product is particularly suitable for skin with uneven tone, dilated pores or a rough texture, as well as for sensitive skin wishing to start using AHAs. It is not recommended for damaged skin or in combination with other powerful exfoliants, and requires the application of sunscreen during the day.

I've only been using it for a few days, which justifies the four stars. My skin tolerates it well. I've found a slight improvement on my forehead and chin. But it's true that I've slightly modified my routine (following the app's personalized routine and user reviews). Maybe it's all in all, but I'll see over time.
