This make-up-removing balm from The Inkey List is based on a lipid base of sweet almond oil (*Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil*) and oat oil (*Avena sativa kernel oil*), two emollients rich in unsaturated fatty acids that effectively dissolve oily residues (make-up, sebum, SPF) through lipophilic affinity. Candelilla wax and cetearyl alcohol ensure the balm's solid texture and facilitate its emulsification on contact with water, enabling greasy residue-free rinsing. Colloidal oat flour (*Avena sativa kernel flour*) provides soothing and anti-irritant properties, thanks to its beta-glucans and avenanthramides. The antioxidant complex - tocopherol, ascorbyl palmitate and sunflower oil - protects the formula from oxidation and limits cutaneous oxidative stress during make-up removal. Biosaccharide gum-4 contributes to the soothing, film-forming post-rinse effect. This product is particularly suitable for dry, sensitive or reactive skin, as well as for normal skin looking for gentle make-up removal without damaging the cutaneous barrier. It is suitable for use as the first step in a double cleansing routine.
Written review of the BeautyDecoded application -
Good product, but...
Cleanses well and leaves skin soft, but I don't use it on my eyes because of the grains.
Plus, the product tends to go out of phase. Not my favorite.
