Clinique's **Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm** is a make-up remover with a balm texture that transforms into oil on contact with the skin. Its formula is based mainly on lipophilic esters and oils: **ethylhexyl palmitate** and **caprylic/capric triglycerides** effectively dissolve the fatty constituents of make-up, including waterproof formulas, according to the lipid-lipid solubilization principle. Safflower oil** (*Carthamus tinctorius*), rich in linoleic acid (omega-6), provides softening properties and helps maintain the skin barrier. Sorbeth-30 tetraoleate** and **PEG-5 glyceryl triisostearate** act as emulsifiers, enabling the balm to be easily rinsed off with water without leaving a residual oily film. The antioxidant action of **tocopherol** (vitamin E) completes the formula. This product is particularly suitable for dry to normal skin, as well as for people who wear heavy make-up. Very oily or acne-prone skin may use it with caution, due to its high occlusive ester content.

Very good cleansing balm
Very effective and pleasant, but not very economical - it's rather expensive. The texture is very pleasant and rinses off well. I'm not a fan of the pot format.

this balm ticks all the boxes:
- suitable for sensitive skin, it does not sting the eyes at all
- non-comedogenic, suitable for oily skin that cannot tolerate oil!
- it removes make-up PERFECTLY, especially between the lashes, everything goes!
