A cream designed to improve skin firmness
Over time, the skin loses density and elasticity. Fibroblasts—the cells that produce collagen and elastin—become less active. The face begins to sag, and the skin’s texture loses its smoothness.
Pro-Collagen Micro-Growth Factor Cream by Filorga addresses this issue. It retails for €59 for 50 ml. The brand describes it as suitable for all skin types, with a «wrapping and sculpting» texture and a comfortable finish.
«Micro-Growth Factor»: What Does It Mean?
The «Micro-Growth Factor – »Peptides Complex," priced at 5 %, is a complex name, not an ingredient. It consists of synthetic peptides, short chains of amino acids designed to mimic certain signals from the skin.
In particular, the formula includes:
- Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, peptides that have been extensively studied in cosmetics and are associated with supporting the skin matrix and promoting skin comfort.
- Tripeptide-10 Citrulline, a peptide involved in the organization of collagen fibers.
- Acetyl Tetrapeptide-11 and a complementary dipeptide, which round out the anti-relaxation approach.

A highly comprehensive moisturizing and restorative base
A firming treatment works best on skin that is well-hydrated and well-protected. In this regard, the formula is effective:
- Glycerin, diglycerin, and hyaluronic acid (in various forms) to help the skin retain moisture.
- Squalane and shea butter for comfort and nourishment.
- Crystal Liquid, a plant-based liquid crystal system that mimics the skin's natural lipids and strengthens the skin barrier.
- Niacinamide, a classic for improving skin texture and overall skin quality.
- Antioxidants such as vitamin E (tocopherol), ergothioneine, and carnosine, to help reduce oxidative stress.

It also includes the complex NCEF®, a Filorga product. It is inspired by the revitalizing cocktails used in aesthetic medicine and combines vitamins, minerals, hyaluronic acid, and amino acids.
Things to Know Before Buying
- It’s an interesting idea: growth factors such as FGF are relatively large proteins that have difficulty penetrating the skin barrier. Filorga therefore uses a smaller biomimetic peptide, designed to replicate some of the biological activity of FGF while facilitating its penetration into the skin. But A smaller peptide does not necessarily retain the properties of the original growth factor.
- «5 %» refers to the peptide complex as a whole, not each peptide taken individually.
- This product contains fragrance. Very sensitive skin may not tolerate it as well; it's a good idea to test it on a small area first.
- It comes in a jar. Convenient and pleasant to use, it does expose the cream a little more to the air and your fingers. Clean hands or a small spatula are enough to minimize the problem.
- The Pro-Collagen Micro-Growth Factor Cream is an interesting cream and well-worded
