The product Midnight Blue Calming Cream of the brand Dear, Klairs is primarily intended for sensitive, reactive skin or skin prone to redness and irritation. Its formula aims to soothe, repair, and strengthen the skin barrier, making it particularly suitable for use after exposure to external aggressors (sun exposure, dermatological treatments, shaving). My expert opinion is that the composition of this product is designed to minimize the risk of irritation while providing a soothing and repairing action, making it the treatment of choice for fragile skin or skin in need of comfort.
Formula Analysis: Key Assets
Three active ingredients stand out in this cream:
- Centella Asiatica : known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties, it promotes skin repair and soothes irritation.
- Guaiazulene : derived from chamomile, it gives the cream its blue color and has powerful soothing properties, quickly reducing redness and feelings of heat.
- Ceramides : essential for restoring the skin barrier, they limit water loss and strengthen the skin's resistance to external aggressions.
The presence of peptides and hyaluronic acid complements the repairing and moisturizing action, justifying the quality of this treatment for distressed skin.
Tips and Application Ritual
I recommend applying the Midnight Blue Calming Cream In the evening, as the last step in your routine, apply to clean, dry skin. It can also be used occasionally during the day on irritated areas. It is compatible with most moisturizing active ingredients (hyaluronic acid, panthenol), but it is best to avoid immediate combination with powerful exfoliants (AHA, BHA) so as not to over-stress the skin.
My Final Verdict & Safety Opinion
The strengths of this product lie in its rapid soothing effect, its light, non-greasy texture, and its optimal tolerance. One slight drawback could be the presence of fragrance for ultra-reactive skin, but overall the formula remains very safe. In conclusion, I consider this product to be a valuable ally for soothing and repairing fragile skin.

Very soothing
Effective on my rosacea, it calms redness very well. Fresh, pleasant texture, very good for dry skin in summer. Not nourishing enough for winter.

Comfortable and soft
This cream is soft and comfortable but that's it, it doesn't have any particular effect on the skin. I liked the blue color and the black tube, it gives a magical, fairy-tale dimension but it's a shame it doesn't do anything special on the skin. It just moisturizes. I only bought it once and I don't think I'll be using it again. Maybe I'll take it back if Klairs comes out with the same product with 5% panthenol and madecassoside!
