Pixi Beauty's Glow Tonic is an exfoliating lotion whose main active ingredient is glycolic acid, a small-molecule AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) that dissolves the bonds between corneocytes to promote cell renewal and refine skin texture. The formula is buffered with sodium hydroxide to achieve an effective pH while limiting irritation. Butylene glycol and glycerin ensure surface hydration, while Aloe barbadensis leaf juice and witch hazel floral water provide soothing and slightly astringent properties. Horse chestnut extract (*Aesculus hippocastanum*) helps tone microcirculation, while NMF complex (urea, amino acids, sugars, dextrin) supports the natural hydration of the stratum corneum. Panthenol (provitamin B5) and biotin contribute to skin repair and comfort, while ginseng extract (*Panax ginseng*) is associated with a revitalizing effect. This toner is suitable for dull, oily or uneven-textured skin, but should be used with caution on sensitive or reactive skin, due to the presence of glycolic acid and fragrance. I like it
it tingles when you put it on, so i figure it's working. i like to use it from time to time (1x a week) to help my skin peel off dead cells (i don't do peels/exfoliations anymore since i've been using active ingredients like glycolic acid or retinol). i put enough on my hands and apply it without rubbing, depositing it generously on my skin. the pump bottle is great.
